The 22nd IACP European Executive Policing Conference convened in Paris last May and by all accounts was a great professional experience for the delegates. The French conference coordinator and liaison to the IACP, Mr. Jean-Marie Salanova, executive director of the French National Police Association, reported that 261 delegates assembled for three days to hear informative speakers and to discuss a variety of topics germane to policing in the region and beyond. Conference host Michel Gaudin, French National Police commissioner, welcomed delegates to the conference and publicly recognized that although the conference was sponsored by the French National Police it was coordinated through the good graces of the French National Police Association.
