The Law Enforcement Information Management (LEIM) Section of the IACP comprises more than 1,000 chiefs and information technology professionals from agencies of all sizes, jurisdictions, and geographies. Every state in the United States is represented, as are five Canadian provinces and eighteen other nations, from Australia to the United Kingdom.
Every year since 1977, the LEIM Section has sponsored a conference and technology exposition, and the 36th Annual LEIM Training Conference and Technology Exposition recently concluded in Indianapolis, Indiana. The event, which was held at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown hotel May 21–23, attracted 490 people, including representatives from 43 U.S. states and from Canada, England, France, Pakistan, Armenia, and the Netherlands. This year, 88 members of the LEIM Section attended the conference.
