After a shooting, or in situations involving other crimes where the police are attempting to apprehend fleeing, dangerous persons, they may set up a roadblock along routes likely to be taken by such suspects. The usual rules requiring particularized suspicion before stopping a motor vehicle will not apply in such cases.
