There is new evidence that supporting crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) related approaches can enhance crime prevention resources in local law enforcement and broaden partnerships with community groups. A recent survey of 131 police, planner, and code enforcement respondents from the United States and Canada identifies current practices and uses of CPTED.
