Handheld electronic control device

Taser International Inc. announces the first shipments of its new Taser X2 high-performance handheld electronic control device (ECD) and an upgrade program for law enforcement. Taser X2 is similar in size to the current Taser flagship product, the Taser X26 ECD. It features a second shot for instant miss recovery, dual lasers for improved accuracy, enhanced power machine with more than 500 firings, and a warning arc that helps prevent conflict from escalating. Law enforcement agencies can trade their aging ECDs in by the end of the year to receive a credit toward an upgrade package.

Flexible locker

Tiffin Metal Products Co. has expanded its law enforcement product offerings by adding the Infinity Wardrobe Locker. The locker is designed to allow complete in-the-field flexibility and has all of the venting capabilities of the Airflow Locker. It is available with adjustable shelves and a variety of interior component kits that allow the end user to create a multitude of configurations to fit personal needs. The complete Sentinel Locker line also includes duty-bag, mini, weapons, key-operated, hasp, and coin-operated revenue producing visitor lockers.

Master’s program in criminology

The master of arts in criminology program at the Adler School is specifically designed to train practitioners to address current challenges facing the criminal justice system through a blend of coursework that focuses on the intersection of criminology, psychology, and social justice. This 36-credit hour, nonlicensure, online program prepares students to truly make a difference through examining the causes and the consequences of criminal behavior, while understanding the intricacies and the challenges of modern-day criminal justice systems and applying theoretical skills to address those challenges.

Undercarriage inspection robot

Panoscan Inc. introduces the Ferret, a remotely controlled, undercarriage vehicle inspection robot that is designed to be easy to use, highly effective, and affordable. Customizable locker

Gear Lockers by Salsbury Industries are constructed of 16-gauge steel, are 6-feet high, 24-inches deep, and are available with a standard or vented door and a gray, tan, or blue finish. Video surveillance software

Digital Ally Inc. introduces new software, the MDC-750, that grants a mobile data terminal or a mobile data computer full control of the DVM-750 In-Car Video System via touch screen (easy-to-use, graphical on-screen buttons) or keyboard interface. This includes log-in, recording, microphone and camera controls, marking, playback, metadata display, menu access, and more. Users can monitor live or play back one or both camera views on the large laptop monitor. Video windows are individually scalable to enlarge either of the views at any point. If communication with the DVM-750 is lost, the video system buttons become active to allow normal operation.

Mobile information sharing

Master’s program in information assurance

Regis University’s master of science in information assurance degree program offers information technology professionals training to ensure that the confidentiality, the integrity, and the availability of sensitive and private data are protected. The curriculum for the degree is modeled on the guidelines provided by the National Security agency and incorporates the 10 domains of knowledge emphasized by the Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification standard. Evidence collection system
