Kyocera International Inc. has launched the military-grade and FirstNet Ready DuraXE Epic on the AT&T 4G LTE network. A compact flip phone built for reliability in harsh conditions, Kyocera’s new ultra-rugged device is certified military standard 810H to withstand drops (up to 5 feet onto concrete) and water immersion (IP68 up to 6 feet for 30 minutes), making it ideal for public safety. It’s also certified Non-incendive Class I Div 2 for protection in hazardous environments and can be disinfected using alcohol (70 percent solution) or cleaning wipes. DuraXE Epic is FirstNet Ready and supports access to the dedicated FirstNet network core, FirstNet First Priority.

Anti-Passback Feature
ProdataKey (PDK) has added Anti-Passback to the programmable features of its PDK io cloud access control platform. Anti-Passback requires individuals who have scanned through an entry reader to scan out through a corresponding exit reader before their credentials can be used to re-enter the premises. By requiring credentials to be used in an “in–out–in” sequence, cardholders cannot “pass back” their access card or credential-enabled mobile device to another person after entry, allowing them to enter too. Anti-Passback rules are defined through the PDK.io software. They may be applied to locations where users pass through designated entrances and exits, like parking garages, and secure areas.

Hanwha Techwin offers Wisenet Road AI, a powerful line of ALPR cameras that feature make, model, and color recognition to identify vehicles using AI technology. The cameras, together
with a powerful edge-based application, support real-time viewing, event monitoring, forensic search, and a range of widgets and graphs that display daily, weekly, and monthly traffic statistics. Users can search based on a number of attributes including date/time, license plate, photo, type, brand, model, and color. The application can support up to 10,000 detailed records on the LPR camera’s internal SD card and is integrated with popular VMS providers such as Genetec, Milestone, and Wisenet WAVE.
