Over half of the world’s gun deaths took place in six countries: Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala, Venezuela, and the United States. What’s more is that 94 percent of the most violent cities in the world are in North and South America. Narrowing that focus to gun violence within the United States, there exists a horrific tinge to the amount of gun violence that plagues U.S. youths and young adults, who are disproportionately affected by gun violence.
