The IACP is pleased to announce the appointment of Bart R. Johnson as its executive director, beginning December 5. Mr. Johnson succeeds Daniel N. Rosenblatt, who retired as executive director on October 31. Mr. Johnson previously was the Principal Deputy Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As the second-ranking official in the office, he was responsible for integrating the Department's intelligence efforts while providing the Secretary, her senior leadership, the DHS components, and state, local, tribal and private sector partners with the homeland security intelligence and information they need to keep the country safe. Prior to his DHS appointment, Mr. Johnson served as director of homeland security and law enforcement in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
