IACP Working for You |
---|
In the mission to support the law enforcement leaders of today and develop the leaders of tomorrow, the IACP is constantly involved in advocacy, programs, research, and initiatives related to cutting-edge issues. This column keeps you up to date on IACP’s work to support our members and the field of law enforcement.
IACP Foundation and #GivingTuesday The IACP Foundation was founded in 1990 in order to complement, enhance, and assist the mission, goals, and objectives of the IACP. Since then, it has served law enforcement by raising financial resources to support leadership, education, training, research programs, and families of fallen and injured officers. This year, the IACP Foundation is kicking off its 25th anniversary by focusing its support on officers injured or killed in the line of duty and their families and celebrating #GivingTuesday (December 1, 2015). Now in its fourth year, #GivingTuesday is a global movement of over 30,000 organizations in 60+ countries dedicated to challenging individuals to support their favorite causes as the calendar year ends. This year, the IACP Foundation is making it easy to support injured and fallen law enforcement officers and their families on #GivingTuesday with the click of a mouse.
