The 113th Annual IACP Conference was attended by 17,128 people and 757 exhibiting
companies. It featured many opportunities for education, networking, and viewing the
latest in law enforcement technology, equipment, and products. Among the business of
the association conducted at the conference was the recognition of Harlin R. McEwen,
retired chief of police in Ithaca, New York, as an honorary IACP president, the election of
Chief Mark Marshall of the Smithfield, Virginia, Police Department as the fourth IACP vice
