Beginning in December 2004, local law enforcementagencies are required to provide police reports to victims of identity theft in compliance with the FACT Act (Public Law 108-15). The Police Chief magazine is starting a three-part series on identity theft and the police response. The January issue is discussing the identity theft problem. The February issue will discuss prevention and the March issue will discuss identity theft investigations.
