The January 2012 issue of Police Chief magazine focuses on ethics and recruitment processes, in addition to recognizing recipients of the 2011 IACP Awards given in Chicago, Illinois.
Over the last four years, the down economy has impacted every employer – public, private, and nonprofit. With the prolonged challenging job market, there are greater number of high-caliber candidates that who are seeking employment. Now is the time that law enforcement agencies should be working to staff their organizations, before the economy completely rebounds. Above all, agencies must make recruiting a priority and retain great officers.
