Policing agencies around the globe are frequently facing to the need to both police and protect large groups of people in public spaces, including those gathering for events, rallies, protests, or political demonstrations. Agencies need to prepare their officers for the appropriate response and train them in best practices for these scenarios, while also looking to ensure the safety of crowd members, bystanders, and officers.
