The Internet revolution has brought about an array of technologies that have touched nearly every aspect of modern life. This technology instantaneously makes all the distant corners of the world a part of the local community. Like many inventions, the new technologies can be used for both good and bad purposes. The Internet and accompanying technologies can be wild and unruly places, with a language all their own. This issue of the magazine illustrates the information revolution in modern life with a special emphasis on protecting the children from those who would use these technologies to exploit them.
