March 2023: Violence Reduction Strategies

Acts of violence can take various forms, including domestic abuse, robberies, or targeted mass violence, among others. The COVID-19 pandemic emphasized how violent crime can even spread across international borders. In this issue of Police Chief, law enforcement leaders discuss the innovative strategies that agencies have used to prevent, mitigate, and reduce violence as it continues to evolve to enhance a department’s success rate and restore community trust.
