May 2006

According to a Police Chief magazine study, 17 percent of the magazine’s readers are planning police facility construction projects. This represents a serious commitment of time and money by local jurisdictions. This issue highlights police facility construction around the United States. The month of May also focuses on Police Week and Peace Officers Memorial Day, which is May 15. The names of 115 officers killed in the line of duty in 2005 will be added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C., during the 18th Annual Candlelight Vigil.
