Ohio State Highway Patrol: Can Individual Troopers Make a Difference?

In order to keep up with the strides being made in automotive design and highway design and the way laws are enforced, the Ohio State Highway Patrol has changed its overall traffic enforcement philosophy. In 2003 an organization-wide operational strategic goal called for the agency to achieve, by the end of the year 2007, a traffic fatality rate of one death per 100 million vehicle miles traveled in the state of Ohio.
