The LAPD’s Counter-Terrorism Bureau’s Major Crimes Division and Emergency Services Division, as well as the Joint Regional Intelligence Center and the Real-Time Analysis and Critical Response Division, create a real-time, four-lane superhighway of information and intelligence. The CompStat process, criminal and intelligence investigations, crimes that provide funding mechanisms for terrorist networks, and technology that provides even more focused information all provide for a richer picture of local intelligence.
