Transcription service
(Webtranscription.com) announces its interrogation transcription service. Through its certified court transcription agency, G&L Transcription of New Jersey, ebtranscription.com provides certified transcripts of custodial interrogations. The firm’s transcriptionists are licensed by the Administrative Office of Courts for the State of New Jersey and must pass a rigorous test (written and transcription). Interrogations can be recorded in any medium, including audio and video tape, DVD, CD-ROM, and digital sound files, all of which can be transcribed. Also available are transcripts of recorded witness statements, wiretaps, internal affairs statements, police radio communications, 911 calls, and traffic stops.
Interoperability device
Communications-Applied Technology announces the ICRI-4TG, an interoperability device designed to create up to four independent talk groups and allow first responders to talk and collaborate on the scene in spite of using incompatible radio equipment. The ICRI-4TG, like all Incident Commanders Radio Interface (ICRI) models, is designed for simplicity and ease of use, functioning without the operational complexity of computers or keypads. It is engineered to provide radio cross-band (VHF, UHF, 800-megahertz), cross-platform (digital/analog, trunked/talkaround, AM/FM), and VoIP capability for operations where command and control is needed for a wide range of responders. The ICRI is also designed to function as a repeater, for linking communications back to remote command centers, and to extend communications into subway tunnels, airports, and high-rise buildings.
Promotion test sourcebook
I/O Solutions Inc., a publisher of public safety employment tests, announces the release of a new custom-made sourcebook that compiles all of the reference materials from five national law enforcement texts into a single volume, Fundamentals of Law Enforcement Management. The book is designed to help officers prepare for their next promotional examination or to start gaining the knowledge necessary to succeed as a law enforcement supervisor. Topics covered include management and supervision, agency organization and planning, community problem solving, field operations, investigative procedure, constitutional law, and ethics.
Shotgun
FNH USA LLC announces the addition of a Fixed Stock model to the TPS lineup for 2006. Designed to meet the shotgun requirements of tactical law enforcement teams and enhance their use, the Fixed Stock model features an M16-style fixed buttock and A2 adjustable sights. It also includes an integrated rail system drilled and tapped to mount an optional C-More Systems reflex sight that co-witnesses iron sights. This model also features a rugged parkerized and anodized finish designed to deliver maximum corrosion protection in even the harshest environments.

The solution is engineered to enable users to capture, play back, annotate, save, and manage recordings with minimal training, and it is designed for easy set up and installation.
Wireless motorcycle communications system
Setcom Corporation, a leader in communications systems and accessories for police motorcycle officers, introduces its Liberator wireless system, which eliminates the cable between the officer and the motorcycle. Operating in the 900megahertz ISM frequency range, the system is designed to avoid the interference challenges associated with higher frequencies and to be backward compatible with most of Setcom’s current equipment. The Liberator draws the power it requires from the portable radio battery.
Video software
BroadWare Technologies introduces an applications server suite and graphical user interface for its open standards[en dash]based digital video platform. Known as the BroadWare Application Server (BAS) 2.0, this Web-based front-end system is designed to help law enforcement agencies and other users configure and manage complex video applications in a single facility or multiple facilities. By design, end users of BAS 2.0 can deploy, track, and maintain video software, devices, and files. They can also configure users by roles to allow specific rights to cameras and functions based on different scenarios.
