Cell phone analysis system

Envisage Systems announces that the company’s cell phone analysis system, PhoneBase 2, now gives law enforcement agencies worldwide the capability to deliver a full report on the contents of SIM cards and phone memories of no fewer than 136 different models of handset, including those from Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Siemens, LG, Alcatel, and Samsung. PhoneBase 2 is designed to provide lists of phone numbers and associated names, recently made calls, and text messages, including deleted messages, in minutes. The PhoneBase system now includes a Phone Memory Module designed to allow data stored on the handset’s memory to be downloaded by infrared link or cable directly to a computer. PhoneBase is designed to read information from a SIM card or phone memory but not to write to it, maintaining the integrity of the evidence.

Gloves

Hatch introduces Mustang Tac extreme-grip gloves for law enforcement applications, where positive weapon control and dexterity are essential. The product’s secret is the oil tack suede palm from Pittards Tannery in England. It is designed to provide a better grip than that of standard leather in either wet or dry conditions. An additional WRX100 water-resistant treatment helps the glove shed water quickly for further improved wet grip performance and prevents the absorption of perspiration. Intelepresence introduces the DarkStar, a portable covert night vision and video imaging system designed to be operable in zero-light conditions.
