Hazmat software
The PEAC-WMD system (pictured above) from AristaTek is a crisis management tool for first responders to hazmat and terrorist events. It contains vital information from a number of sources, including NIOSH, NFPA, AIHA, MSDS, and DOT, for more than 10,000 chemicals and synonyms searchable by chemical name, UN number, or CAS number. Designed to be easy to learn and use, the PEAC-WMD runs on a handheld computer. Facial composite sketch tool
Smith & Wesson Advanced Technologies announces Identi-Kit.NET, its new Web-based facial composite sketch tool for investigating and solving crimes. Identi-Kit.NET can create wanted posters, search for composite matches, and transmit these images instantaneously by e-mail. Identi-Kit.NET also includes Web-based databases for quick and easy information exchange between law enforcement agencies and other entities, Web-based courseware for training and certification, and online software updates with supplementary software packages.

Gas monitor
The iTX multi-gas monitor from Industrial Scientific Corporation is designed to grow with you as your gas monitoring needs change. Skid plate for cruisers
Pro-Gard Police Products, a division of Pro-Gard Industries, has updated its U103 skid plate (pictured below) to provide even better coverage for police Crown Vic patrol cars. The new U104F is designed to protect the lower radiator, front axle assembly, and oil and transmission pans on the 2003 Ford Crown Victoria. It allows for oil changes with the skid plate on the vehicle and requires no additional holes in the vehicle for installation. The U104F skid plate is manufactured from 11-gauge hot rolled steel. Its steel brackets and plate are coated with a black epoxy coating that is manufactured to withstand a 1,000-hour salt spray.

Tactical blankets
Instant Armor offers two versions of its tactical blanket systems. The First Responder is an eight-panel, level 3A, folding, rigid shield large enough to cover the side of a cruiser or an entire tactical team yet light enough to be deployed by a single officer.
