In January 2021, the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA), in partnership with the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), published “What to Do and Expect When Pulled Over by Police.” This is an educational document intended to provide the public with guidance to ensure a traffic stop is as safe and stress free as possible for all involved.
